last day of crazy summer and as i was leaving for work this morning, alphonse squeezed his big ol' fur body out the door just as i was shutting it on him; his desperate grasp for the last bits of sunshine before the seattle dark descends. soak it up, chiquito, this could be a long winter.

today i am split into two seasons; dark green sweater and a wispy short skirt. my morning moment: standing at the bus stop, eyes closed in orange-lidded sunlight, slow-motion breeze lapping skirt against bare legs.

ponder, girl. slip out of this allegro summer into old coat autumn. step in largo tempo to a new day sway.
